Yesterday I was planting flowers in my backyard and I heard a noise that I had not heard in a long time.
Airplanes Flying Overhead
It seemed that every two minutes a plane was coasting over my house. It was in those moments that I began to acknowledge all that had happened and all that was still left uncertain with stay at home orders being lifted.
Hope
I am hopeful that the lessons we learned as a society in combating the Covid-19 virus and in embracing nuanced social activity will make a positive impact on the new normal.
It is important for all of us to remember that even though we are starting to emerge out of our homes that our vigilance in keeping this virus at bay is as important now as ever before. A vaccine is still months away and many loved ones are still at risk.
Key Items To Remember:
Checklists
Over the past few months the above has become a mental check list for me. In some cases becoming a habit and in other cases part of my routine.
In any home or business, checklists are a vital part of our lives. Some checklists become automatic while others become a formalized part of our processes.
The National Association of Realtors put together this checklist that can be adopted in our workplaces, homes, or as the Covid-19 Re-entry is phased in and we venture back out to go shopping or eat at our favorite restaurants.
Stay Safe
You will be surprised how many things there are to consider for you, your coworkers and your loved ones. Something as simple as sharing a computer, pushing an elevator button or touching the coffee pot handle in the cafeteria may expose you to this virus.
Our world has changed and we all need to be conscious of our new environment.
Stay safe and let’s work together to control the spread of this horrible virus.
